An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development & Marketing Manager to join a leading international law firm on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

Working closely with partners across high-profile disputes and investigations practices, you'll play a key role in driving business growth, strengthening client relationships and delivering strategic marketing initiatives.

The Role

This is a varied and commercially focused position, combining strategic business development with hands-on execution.

You'll support partners in identifying opportunities, winning new business and enhancing market profile across key practice areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of pitches, proposals, RFPs and client presentations.
  • Support partners with business development strategy, client targeting and opportunity identification.
  • Conduct market, client and competitor research to inform growth initiatives.
  • Drive profile-raising activities, including directory submissions and industry rankings.
  • Manage and coordinate client events and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain high-quality marketing collateral, lawyer biographies and practice descriptions.
  • Track market trends and provide actionable business intelligence to stakeholders.

About You

  • 5+ years' business development or marketing experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong pitch and proposal management experience.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and project management skills.
  • Commercially minded with strong research and analytical capabilities.
  • Highly organised, proactive and confident working with senior stakeholders.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
