The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Controller to take ownership of the full working-capital cycle for assigned partners and practice groups. This is a partner-facing role requiring strong commercial awareness and the confidence to manage WIP, AR, billing and revenue processes end-to-end, also supporting junior team members and contributing to process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Monthly partner meetings - Arrange monthly meetings with Partners to review WIP and AR, agree billing timelines, discuss billing types and address any collections issues.
- Reporting - Prepare inventory reports and other statistical analysis for fee-earners.
- Matter setup - Conduct weekly reviews of new matters and work with Lawyers and Compliance to ensure correct setup ahead of billing.
- Prospective time - Review Prospective Time and ensure accuracy.
- Time adjustments - Process time transfers, edits and write-offs of irrecoverable time and disbursements.
- Billing queries - Respond promptly to high-volume billing enquiries, liaising with attorneys on all billing-related issues.
- Invoice processing - Process invoices, ensuring numerical accuracy and compliance with VAT, SRA and AML requirements.
- E-billing - Process e-bills and manage rejections or disputes.
- Cash collection - Chase outstanding payments, resolve issues with Partners/Lawyers and support timely cash collection.
- Cash reconciliation - Assist Cashiers with reconciling cash receipts.
- Team oversight - Troubleshoot and oversee work of junior Revenue team members.
Skills Required
- Revenue Control experience - Solid experience in Revenue Control within a law firm.
- 3E proficiency - Strong working knowledge of 3E.
- E-billing capability - Experience handling e-billing and resolving rejections/disputes.
- Excel skills - Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Initiative - Proactive, customer-focused and confident using initiative.
- Communication - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
