We are seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join a leading law firm on a temporary basis. This role requires immediate availability and the ability to step into a busy team environment with confidence and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities (Summary)
- Process UK and international payments under strict deadlines
- Manage cashiering inbox and respond to queries promptly
- Track and reconcile incoming client receipts
- Allocate payments and process client-to-office account transfers
- Monitor suspense accounts and maintain daily client account records
- Provide accurate finance advice and liaise with banking providers
- Calculate client interest and invest funds as required
- Support and provide cover across the wider cashiering team
Skills & Experience (Summary)
- Legal Cashier experience within a law firm
- Strong knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules
- High technical competence in legal finance operations
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Resilient, adaptable, and effective under pressure
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to use initiative
