An international law firm is seeking an experienced Resource Allocation Manager to join its corporate division in London. This is a highly visible role partnering with senior stakeholders to ensure legal talent is effectively deployed across a busy and growing practice.
The ideal candidate must have resource management, workforce planning, or legal operations experience gained within a law firm or professional services environment.
The Role
- Working closely with partners and business services teams, you will take ownership of workforce planning and resource allocation across the corporate practice group.
- Managing the allocation of lawyers across client matters and projects.
- Acting as the primary contact for resourcing requests and workforce planning discussions.
- Monitoring utilisation, capacity and staffing levels to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Advising partners on upcoming resource requirements based on pipeline activity and business needs.
- Coordinating resource planning around annual leave, absences, secondments and other staffing changes.
- Supporting the development of lawyers by helping ensure exposure to appropriate work opportunities.
About You
- Previous experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
- A background in resource management, workforce planning, operations, or practice management.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage senior leaders and partners.
