A leading US law firm is seeking an experienced AML Analyst to join its Risk & Compliance team. This role is integral to supporting the firm's global compliance framework and ensuring adherence to applicable anti-money laundering and financial crime regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct AML and CDD/KYC reviews for new and existing clients, including individuals, corporates, trusts, and complex structures.
- Perform risk assessments and identify potential AML, sanctions, and reputational risks.
- Review and analyse the source of funds and source of wealth documentation.
- Carry out ongoing monitoring, periodic reviews, and trigger event reviews.
- Support enhanced due diligence (EDD) for higher risk matters.
- Liaise with legal, risk, and compliance stakeholders to resolve queries efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in line with regulatory and firm requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of AML policies, procedures, and controls.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in an AML, KYC, or financial crime role within a law firm.
- Strong understanding of AML regulations and risk-based approaches, ideally across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience reviewing complex client structures and high-risk matters.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident communicator with a professional and collaborative approach.
