A friendly lady living with Huntington's Disease is looking for a caring, patient and reliable Personal Assistant to provide support in her own home.
Duties will include:
- Assisting with meal preparation
- Providing support with light household tasks
- Playing games and providing companionship
- Supporting with toileting and personal care when required
- Helping to maintain independence and quality of life and support to access the community
- Providing general day-to-day support in a respectful and dignified manner
About You:
- Kind, patient and understanding
- Must like dogs and be comfortable around pets
- Able to communicate sensitively and give extra time for speech and communication, as the employer's speech is affected by her condition
- Reliable, trustworthy and caring
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as full guidance can be provided for the right person
