We operate in a fast‑paced, highly competitive industry and are seeking a reliable, experienced, and professional dispatcher to cover a temporary leave of absence, with the possibility of extension or permanent employment based on business needs and performance. This role is central to daily operations and requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage changing priorities throughout the day.

Position Type

  • Temporary employment for up to three (3) months

Work Schedule

  • Full‑time hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • On‑site role (no remote work)
  • No weekend work

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispatch drivers for pickups and deliveries
  • Plan, schedule, and adjust routes as operational needs change
  • Coordinate daily freight movements and delivery timelines
  • Track and trace shipments and provide real‑time updates
  • Communicate with drivers, customers, and vendors by phone and email
  • Book shipments and discuss rates with customers or vendors as required
  • Prepare and manage shipment documentation, including load confirmations (and customs documentation where applicable)
  • Respond to service issues, delays, or last‑minute changes calmly and effectively
  • Maintain accurate records in dispatch and tracking systems
  • Act as central point of communication between drivers, customers, and management
  • Work closely with ownership and internal team members to ensure operational coverage

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in trucking or freight dispatch
  • Strong understanding of dispatch operations, routing, and transportation timelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong time‑management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment
  • Sound judgment and problem‑solving ability
  • Comfortable using dispatch systems, tracking tools, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Compensation & Workplace Details
