We are looking for a conscientious and detail-orientated administrator to join our Finance team to contribute to the smooth and effective running of the school’s finance and bursary operations. The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of financial processes including purchase ledger activities and supporting budget holders with financial information. This role would suit an organised individual with strong administrative and financial skills who enjoys working collaboratively within a busy school environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Process purchase invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently
- Manage petty cash transactions and reconciliations
- Contribute to Month-End & Financial Processes
- Process weekly aged-creditors report and action supplier payments
- Prepare and distribute half-termly budget reports to budget holders
- Support financial year-end procedures and audit preparation
- General Administration & Support
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or a bursary/administrative role
- Understanding of purchase ledger processes
- Strong numerical and organisational skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, in particular creating and using spreadsheets
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Team working skills; able to work independently and collaboratively as required
