Training Officer – Ground Handling Operations in Wrotham

DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training Officer to join our Ground Handling Training Team. In this role, you will support Ryanair with the delivery of initial, recurrent, and compliance training across ramp and back-of-house operational departments.You will play a key role in ensuring our workforce is trained to the highest safety, regulatory, and operational standards, contributing to safe, efficient, and compliant airport operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging classroom and practical training across ramp and BOH functionsConduct initial training, refresher courses, and competency assessmentsIdentify training needs through operational feedback, audits, and performance dataMaintain accurate training records and compliance documentationProduce training reports and support audit and compliance activitiesWork closely with Safety & Compliance, Operations, and Management teamsSupport the development of a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindsetMentor, coach, and motivate employees to achieve high performance standardsRequirementsYou are a confident and engaging trainer with a passion for developing people and maintaining high safety standards in a fast-paced aviation environment.Essential RequirementsAET (Award in Education and Training) or equivalent training qualificationPrevious experience delivering training within an aviation environment including Headset and pushbackStrong understanding of airport ground handling, safety procedures, and compliance standardsExperience delivering both theoretical and practical training sessionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to influence, coach, and develop operational teamsStrong organisational skills with attention to detailIT literacy (MS Office and training record systems)DesirableTrain-the-Trainer ADPMExperience with Dangerous Goods trainingKnowledge of CAA/EASA regulations or IATA standards hold a CINExperience supporting audits or compliance programmesDesign and develop lesson plans, training materials, and assessments in line with regulatory requirements (e.g. CAA/EASA/ICAO where applicable)Benefits• Competitive salary• Opportunities for career development and progression• Ongoing professional training• Dynamic and fast-paced airport environment• Company pension• Free parking • Airport discountsWhy Join Us?You’ll be part of a team that plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and safety for Blue Handling and Ryanair.
