Aircraft Engineering Service (AES Ltd) is inviting applications for a UK Outstations Engineer to be based in Stansted Airport, working in cooperation with our client Ryanair.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the

UK General Manager and the Technical Operations Manager , the successful candidate, who will work on a

4 on 4 off day shift rotation , will be responsible for the leadership and management of Ryanair’s Engineering Line Stations in the UK.

Duties will include, but not be limited to

  • Management of Routine Maintenance, Aircraft Incidents/AOG’s and Third-Party Liaison.
  • Manpower planning, recruitment, retention and staff performance management.
  • Ensuring appropriate spares and equipment are available at each location.
  • Budgeting, invoicing and negotiation/management of contracts with external suppliers/companies.
  • Conducting regular base visits, ensuring staff welfare and regulatory (UK CAA and EASA) compliances.
  • Supervisions and mentoring of Engineer, Aircraft Mechanics and Apprentices.
  • Investigating Maintenance Delays, Engineering Safety Reports and Non- Compliances, implementing strategies to prevent recurrence.

Requirements

We are looking for a motivated self-starter with managerial experience who is ready, willing and able to manage technical teams in a diverse and fast-changing environment.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate

  • Aircraft Line Maintenance experience (Essential).
  • EASA Part-66 B1/B2 License holder & Recency (Desirable).
  • Excellent time management, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and effectively communicate progress to Senior Management.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership experience, capable of remotely managing diverse teams.
  • Aeronautical Engineering background required.
  • Previous experience in Aviation or Engineering.
  • Good IT Literacy (Essential), with AMOS Experience (Desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Applicants must have unrestricted right to work in the

UK and hold a valid UK Driving License.
