AES (Aircraft Engineering Services Ltd) working with our client Ryanair invites applications for a Station Manager to be based at Manchester Airport.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support leadership and management of Ryanair’s UK Engineering Line Stations and technical staff.
- Manage routine maintenance, aircraft incidents & AOGs.
- Plan manpower, recruitment and staff performance management.
- Ensure appropriate spares, tooling and facilities are available at each location.
- Conduct regular visits to Line Stations across the UK to ensure staff welfare and regulatory compliance.
- Investigate maintenance delays, engineering safety reports and non‑compliances, and implement strategies to prevent recurrence.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a management role (e.g., Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager or similar).
- Strong team management skills, with experience managing teams in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- Flexible, hands‑on approach to leadership.
- Full computer literacy with experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of aviation processes is an advantage but not essential.
