Due to our continued growth, we are recruiting for a Part 145 Training Lead to join the Engineering Training department. We seek someone with prior working knowledge within Part 145 training to promote and support the highest standards we maintain across the company.
Responsibilities
- Ensure continued validity, duration, and delivery of all training conducted at the Ryanair Group Training Facility.
- Hold daily/weekly meetings and provide effective reporting.
- Oversee planning and delivery of line maintenance trainee programs to support annual targets.
- Oversee apprenticeship programs within England and Ireland.
- Review trainee manpower metrics to support fleet and business growth.
- Manage training planning and records management.
- Ensure compliance of all approved training and examination with PART‑145 requirements, including corrective action of negative findings from the independent audit system.
- Prepare and update maintenance training course schedules and instructor schedules, ensuring sufficient qualified staff and adequate facilities, equipment, and materials are available for training and examinations.
- Maintain training elements of MOE and department handbooks to PART‑145 requirements.
- Ensure all nominated staff are fully trained and assessed regularly for competence, maintaining up‑to‑date records.
- Develop and maintain training programs to meet Ryanair Engineering operations requirements.
- Demonstrate a ‘hands on’ attitude and strong organizational skills in building and delivering effective training programs.
- Communicate clearly in written and oral formats, and present information effectively.
Requirements
- At least 5+ years of experience in a Part 145 training environment.
- UK/EASA Part 66 Licence or Aerospace Engineering degree, or evidence of 5+ years of previous employment in Part 145 aircraft technical training.
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft engineering and physical work on aircraft.
- Experience managing apprenticeships.
- Experience reviewing regulations/compliance base procedures.
- High attention to detail and ability to raise issues to management.
- Ability to plan and meet deadlines set by management teams.
- Good working knowledge of IT systems and willingness to learn new programs/software.
- Ability to provide constructive critique where non‑compliance may be found.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Open‑minded, eager to learn new skills, and bring new ideas.
- Strong work ethic and timely completion of tasks.
- Flexibility to adapt to change quickly and work under pressure.
