Aircraft Engineering Services (AES Ltd) are inviting applications for an Engineering Operations Supervisor to be based at Stansted Airport (STN), working in cooperation with our client Ryanair, Europe’s largest airline. Ryanair is a fast‑paced and dynamic airline known for its exceptional career opportunities and industry-leading growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the UK General Manager as part of the UK Management Team, the successful candidate will lead and manage Ryanair’s 11 UK Engineering Outstations and a team of 150+ Engineers and Supervisors.
  • Management of Routine Maintenance, Aircraft Incidents/AOG’s and Third Party Liaison.
  • Manpower planning, recruitment and staff performance management.
  • Ensuring appropriate spares, tooling and facilities are available at each location.
  • Budgeting, invoicing and negotiation/management of contracts with external suppliers/companies.
  • Conducting regular visits to Line Stations across the UK, ensuring staff welfare and regulatory compliance.
  • Investigating Maintenance Delays, Engineering Safety Reports and Non‑Compliances, implementing strategies to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications and Experience

  • We are looking for an ambitious, driven and capable individual who can lead technical teams in a diverse and fast‑changing environment.
  • Excellent time management, balancing multiple competing priorities and communicating progress and issues to management.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Technical qualification (Degree level or Pt‑66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence) – essential.
  • Full computer literacy with experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
