Due to our continued growth, we are recruiting for a Soft Skills Instructor to join the Engineering Training department. This role seeks a passionate aviation professional who is interested in teaching a wide range of soft skills to staff at all career stages. The instructor will promote training and act as an ambassador for the highest standards that the company maintains.
Responsibilities
- Deliver all soft skills training to engineering staff to the highest industry standards, covering business-related needs across all airlines and specific soft skills areas.
- Prepare and update soft-skills training and improve current courses.
- Develop instructor materials such as course outlines, lesson plans, background material, instructional aids and training aids.
- Ensure compliance with EASA/CAA regulations, reviewing procedures and regulations relevant to the training courses.
- Develop and approve training materials using various delivery methods (classroom, e-learning, virtual).
- Deliver soft-skills training in a practical, hands-on manner.
- Maintain and develop training centres to enhance learning across all training levels.
- Demonstrate a hands-on attitude and strong organisational skills to build and deliver effective training programmes.
- Communicate clearly, both written and oral, and present material effectively.
Requirements
- Level 4 teaching qualification or equivalent teaching experience.
- Experience reviewing regulations and compliance-based procedures (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to raise issues to the management team.
- Capacity to plan and meet deadlines set by management.
- Good working knowledge of Office 365 and willingness to learn new software tools.
- Ability to provide constructive critique when non-compliance is identified.
- Effective communication across all types of communication (verbal, face-to-face, virtual).
- Open-minded, eager to learn new skills and bring fresh ideas to the team.
- Strong work ethic, responsibility and timeliness in completing work.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to change quickly.
- Capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Skill in seeking and providing solutions to management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must hold a valid UK/EU passport and be willing to travel where business requires.
