Aircraft Engineering Service (AES Ltd) is inviting applications for a UK Outstations Engineer to be based at Stansted Airport, working in cooperation with our client Ryanair, Europe’s largest airline. Ryanair offers exceptional career opportunities and progression within the industry.
Location: Stansted Airport, United Kingdom
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Ryanair’s Engineering Line Stations in the UK on a 4-on–4-off day shift rotation.
- Manage routine maintenance, aircraft incidents/AOGs and third‑party liaison.
- Plan manpower, recruit, retain, and manage staff performance.
- Ensure appropriate spares and equipment are available at each location.
- Budget, invoice, and negotiate/manage contracts with external suppliers and companies.
- Conduct regular base visits, ensuring staff welfare and regulatory (UK CAA and EASA) compliance.
- Supervise and mentor engineers, aircraft mechanics, and apprentices.
- Investigate maintenance delays, engineering safety reports, and non‑compliances, and implement strategies to prevent recurrence.
Requirements:
- Aircraft line maintenance experience (essential).
- EASA Part‑66 B1/B2 license holder with recent type endorsement (desirable).
- Boeing 737‑NG type endorsement (desired – type courses available).
- Boeing 737‑Max type endorsement (desired – type courses available).
- Excellent time management, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
- Proven leadership experience, capable of remotely managing diverse teams.
- Aeronautical engineering background required.
- Previous experience in aviation or engineering.
- Good IT literacy, with AMOS experience (desirable).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Unrestricted right to work in the United Kingdom and a valid UK driving licence.
