Ryanair is recruiting a Graduate Flight SIM Engineer to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a career in Europe's leading airline, working with simulators that operate over 20 hours per day and support more than 8,000 pilots across both initial and recurrent training.

Location: East Midlands Airport, United Kingdom

The Role:

  • Perform daily readiness checks to ensure Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD) is ready for operation.
  • Maintain Flight Simulator Equipment to EASA FSTD‑A Level ‘D’ Standard.
  • Maintain the Quality System in accordance with EASA requirements.
  • Review and implement aircraft and vendor service bulletins.
  • Install and verify aircraft loadable software.
  • Liaise with aircrew at the technical level to resolve defects.
  • Liaise with technical inspectors during initial and recurrent qualifications.
  • Liaise with FSTD vendors to rectify vendor‑support defects.
  • Run and check scheduled Quality Test Guide (QTG) tests.
  • Design and implement modifications on simulators to keep them compatible with the Ryanair fleet using hardware and software engineering skills.
  • Conduct technical defect clearance with nominated flight crew.
  • Conduct subjective evaluation sessions of FSTD performance and visual database with flight crew.
  • Maintain compliance with the UK Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • Complete any other tasks reasonably required to carry out the daily operation of a Flight Simulator Training Centre.

Requirements:

  • Relevant engineering degree and/or apprenticeship.
  • Background in aviation or flight simulation.
  • Specialisation in digital flight simulation, complex data networking and process control using distributed micro‑processors.
  • Willingness to work night shifts.
