  • Act as a trusted advisor to multinational clients on indirect tax matters
  • Lead high-impact engagements across indirect tax within financial services

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acts as an advisor for internal and external clients, both in the United Kingdom and abroad, on all VAT related issues.
  • Prepares formal correspondence to clients.
  • Meets with clients and Tax Authorities on VAT related matters individually or with a team.
  • Coordinates VAT projects with international partners and colleagues globally.
  • Maintains involvement with VAT compliance projects such as VAT registration, VAT return preparation, and VAT refund requests.
  • Maintains involvement with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Business Process reviews and documents findings.
  • Works with the Tax Tech team to provide support.
  • Takes an active approach to thought leadership and content production for marketing.
  • Supports the sales processes to help ensure projects are won.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Must have five years or more of experience as a specialized VAT advisor. Knowledge and experience in Customs, Transfer Pricing and Withholding taxes is a plus, but not required. Must have excellent organization and time management skills, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn and must be a team player.
