The Director will work to drive organizational effectiveness and performance through exceptional operational leadership, process improvement and people management, to achieve the company's vision and growth. The Director will also lead a team of Senior Managers across the various Grant services. The Director works closely with the Business Development team and other departments to ensure consistency across all grant services and assist in the overall growth of the practice and firm.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee resource management strategy, aligning resource planning with commercial activity ensuring balance between demand and delivery.
  • Identify gaps in capability and work with relevant stakeholders to deliver solutions.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, coaching and mentoring to a team of Senior Managers, Managers and Consultants, encouraging collaboration and knowledge transfer across the teams.
  • Strategic planning, overseeing operations, staff administration, and performance evaluation.
  • Oversee processes relating to people management, performance review and progression to ensure they are fit for purpose and work to optimise the capability and continuous development of the team.
  • Develop, own and implement recruitment/talent plans; act as ambassador for the company to recruit exceptional talent and continue to foster a strong company culture reflective of the Granted Company Values.
  • Act as role model and coach. Provide expertise, guidance, support and regular feedback to others to improve individual and team performance.
  • Encourage employee idea generation and enable an effective feedback forum.

Client:

  • Act as the overall escalation point for projects in relation to delivery and client relationship.
  • Coach senior team in the mediation and solving of complex client challenges.
  • Help nurture strategic clients. Work with the sales team to support the development of existing accounts, identifying on-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Attend client, industry and Partner events and play an active role in networking and brand building.

  • Own operational effectiveness. Optimise business profitability; responsible for strategic planning and reporting.
  • Own, and delegate, company-wide ongoing improvement programs, disseminating in line with requirements and team development aspirations.
  • Disseminate ownership of the development and implementation of new processes and improvements to existing processes across the business.
  • Coach and guide wider team on how to undertake end to end project management to deliver and implement organizational process improvement.
  • Develop forecasting models of organizational performance in collaboration with wider team.
  • Analyse company performance measures to identify where to focus efforts and to drive optimum commercial outcomes, including the collaborative development of new product offerings.
  • Work with the Business Development team to align delivery capability and sales efforts.

Education and Experience:

  • Proven consultancy experience.
  • Strategic thinking and strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to prove excellent critical thinking skills, ability to summarise complex information in a simple and clear way.
  • Proven leader, and ability to manage Senior Managers and Managers.

Computer Skills:

  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, Google Document Suites.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • None.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervisor of Senior Managers (plus other key Managers if relevant). Responsible for leadership within Grants delivery team.
