Position Summary

Ryan Specialty Service Capital Management Limited, London, is our internal broker tasked with premium and claims processing for policies issued by Ryan Specialty MGU’s. We are seeking to recruit a senior claims technician responsible for the effective and efficient processing of claims within our Internal Broker function.

What will your job entail?

Responsibilities which will evolve over time include:

  • Manage and maintain Claims in shared mailbox daily
  • Review, reconcile and process new claims notifications, claim updates and invoices as well as monthly bordereau for various Coverholders and TPA’s
  • Ensure all claims are attributable to the correct parties and year of account
  • Review, reconcile and maintain all reserves and fees accordingly
  • Communicate with Coverholders and TPA’s to verify and obtain information where necessary
  • Claims management and communications to all non-bureau markets
  • Claims management, maintenance and processing to Lloyd’s of London and Company Markets, through CLASS or Brokasure via Velonetic/XIS systems
  • Update and manage and maintain the claims tracker daily through checking the IMR
  • Communicate with Coverholders and binder participants as necessary
  • Dealing with and responding to all queries in a timely manner
  • Follow up with Velonetic/Xchanging as necessary
  • File, manage and maintain all documentation and data entry necessary
  • Work alongside the other Senior Claims Technician and claims team by providing support and assistance to complete the work as expected in a timely manner
  • Attending meetings and dealing with general ad hoc tasks as required
  • To play an active role and to undertake other reasonable duties if required, to ensure the department operates efficiently

Skills and Attributes

  • Good mathematic and administrative skills & strong spreadsheet skills with excellent levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing
  • Motivational skills, team player as well as working on own initiative
  • Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritise
  • General insurance / reinsurance claims experience between 2-5 years, ideally within the London Market and knowledge of the London Market procedures
  • Knowledge of Xchanging applications is favorable
