Main Responsibilities:
- Foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere that promotes resident independence and dignity.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of individualised care to residents.
- Supervise and lead a team of care assistants providing guidance and support.
- Administer medications.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Perform personal care tasks including bathing dressing and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs ensuring the health and safety of residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents their families and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in developing implementing and updating care plans and carrying out review meetings.
- Maintain a clean and organised environment in the care home.
- Uphold confidentiality and respect for residents rights and privacy.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
Qualifications:
- SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Compassion and empathy for others.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive mindset and attitude.
