Your experience and leadership skills will be essential in supervising and mentoring care assistants to maintain the highest standard of care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere that promotes resident independence and dignity.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of individualised care to residents.
  • Supervise and lead a team of care assistants providing guidance and support.
  • Administer medications.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Perform personal care tasks including bathing dressing and grooming.
  • Monitor and record vital signs ensuring the health and safety of residents.
  • Communicate effectively with residents their families and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in developing implementing and updating care plans and carrying out review meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and organised environment in the care home.
  • Uphold confidentiality and respect for residents rights and privacy.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.

Qualifications:

  • SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Compassion and empathy for others.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive mindset and attitude.

*This position requires a PVG and two references*
