The UK Corporate Tax Principal is responsible for developing, growing and delivering tax services to clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops new client relationships and identifies opportunities on existing global Ryan clients.
- Leads consulting and compliance work delegated to staff and managers.
- Acts as a role model for the team and creates a positive work experience for the team.
- Responds to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
- Works with Ryan Corporate Tax practice to develop new ideas to deliver to global clients.
- Coordinates the delivery of local Corporate Income Tax services to Ryan multinational clients.
- Leads presentations to prospects and clients.
- Develops and executes Corporate Tax consulting projects.
- Develops and supervises Corporate Tax compliance projects.
- Serves as subject matter expert on Corporate Tax in assigned jurisdictions / geographical areas.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Economics required.
- A minimum of 10 to 12 years’ experience in Income Tax.
- Recognised as an industry leader in the field of corporate tax.
- Track record of building a client portfolio.
- Excellent technical corporate income tax skills.
- Deep familiarity with corporate income tax laws and rules.
- Previous track record of excellent service delivery and leading teams.
Computer Skills:
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Valid Passport required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises employees in the practice and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm’s policies and applicable laws.
Work Environment:
- Standard indoor working environment.
- Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
- Position requires regular interaction with employees and clients both in person and via e-mail and telephone.
- Independent travel requirement: 30 to 50%.
- 50+ hour standard work week requirement.
