We are recruiting for a Contract Support Manager to lead and support our on-site Hygiene Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality cleaning and hygiene services within a food manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role for a professional who understands compliance, people management, and operational excellence — and can lead from the front to drive outstanding client satisfaction.
Location: Genesis Way, Healing, North East Lincolnshire, DN37 9TU
Contract Details:
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: 12 weeks
- Days: Monday – Sunday (rota-based)
- Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Pay Rate: £23.07 per hour (Standard), £29.00 Umbrella
Role Purpose: To manage, support, and lead the on-site Hygiene operation, ensuring all hygiene services are delivered to the highest standard in line with BRC Food Safety Standards, customer Codes of Practice, and Health & Safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all hygiene services are delivered and maintained to the required standards
- Manage hygiene hours and ensure all expenditure is authorised and accurately recorded
- Develop and maintain detailed cleaning instructions, schedules, and cleaning risk assessments in line with BRC standards
- Conduct internal compliance audits and hygiene inspections
- Manage hygiene chemicals, dosing equipment, and carry out chemical titration checks
- Champion a strong Health & Safety culture across the site
- Participate in microbiological investigations and improvement projects to enhance hygiene standards
- Deliver training and awareness to hygiene and waste-handling staff
- Attend regular operational catch-ups and monthly KPI meetings
- Lead, motivate, and collaborate with a diverse on-site workforce
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum Level 3 Food Safety Qualification (Level 4 desirable)
- Proven experience in a senior hygiene management role within food or FMCG manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of HACCP
- Health & Safety Level 3 Qualification
- Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
- Experience preparing for and leading BRC and customer audits
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and lead teams
