We are a global trade show and event organizer, seeking a skilled Vendor Management professional to lead and optimize RX’s global technology vendor management capability.
About The Role
This is a global role with extensive stakeholder engagement opportunities. We’re looking for a confident self-starter with a can-do attitude, an experienced professional proficient in commercial arrangements and with a seasoned awareness of what good looks like. This role will manage technology vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, facilitate compliance reviews, and assure timely delivery of goods and services. The successful candidate will be eager to understand and deliver the target operating model for Global Technology’s Vendor Management function.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute vendor management strategies aligned with company goals and event timelines.
- Lead supplier negotiations to establish agreements with favorable terms, competitive pricing, volume discounts, and value-added services.
- Source materials, equipment, and services specific to RX business needs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring high-quality goods and services.
- Maintain an understanding of technology trends, market forces, cost trends, and supplier technology roadmaps.
- Demonstrate knowledge in your job discipline and related disciplines.
- Mobilize small project teams to address specific issues or participate in broader programs.
- Leverage skills and expertise from peers across the RELX network as a UK-based individual contributor.
- Build strong relationships with internal partners across RX to share learnings and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Apply best practices and knowledge of business issues to improve products, services, or processes.
- Solve complex problems creatively by analyzing multiple information sources and exercising judgment.
- Oversee procurement processes, track spend, savings, and vendor performance metrics.
- Review purchase orders and contracts for policy conformance.
- Upskill junior colleagues with less experience.
