RWS are seeking maternity cover for a Global Tax manager, whose primary responsibilities will be to manage the group tax reporting process for interim and year end reporting, as well as overseeing ongoing Pillar 2 compliance obligations globally. This role will have 1 direct report based in the UK. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement initiatives that increase efficiency, manage tax risks, and improve data accuracy. This is a maternity cover role reporting directly into the Group Head of Tax in the UK.

As part of the overall RWS business strategy we are making a significant investment in upgrading our financial systems and processes to deliver enhanced reporting and control, more efficient processing enabling great value through enhanced business partnering and decision support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the annual group tax provisioning process, including working closely with local financial controllers and Group head of tax to ensure accurate and timely preparation of IFRS group accounts disclosures for interim (half year) and year end reporting.
  • Oversee and manage the group’s global Pillar 2 compliance obligations, ensuring timely filing of GLOBE return, QDMTTS and other Pillar 2 notifications.
  • Manage UK corporation tax compliance, including review of tax computations, returns, payments and related filings, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements and legislative changes.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Group's transfer pricing framework, including policy implementation, documentation, intercompany charge reviews and coordination of local compliance requirements.
  • Provide tax advisory support to the business on a wide range of matters, including corporate restructurings, acquisitions, disposals, financing arrangements and new business initiatives.
  • Partner with finance, legal and commercial stakeholders to identify tax risks and opportunities, providing practical advice aligned with business objectives.

Skills & Experience:

  • Direct Tax experience – experience dealing with International Tax as well as Pillar 2 an advantage.
  • Experience with Oracle Tax beneficial but not critical.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to influence and manage multiple tasks.
  • IT literate with strong Excel skills.
  • Accountancy background ACA/ACCA/CIMA - an advantage.
  • Operates in an honest, ethical manner in all dealings; acts with integrity.
  • A pro-active individual.
  • Critical thinker and ability to influence cross functional stakeholders.
  • Team player willing to assist where needed.
  • Ability to quickly build relationships.
