We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong expertise in musculoskeletal anatomy and ultrasound imaging to support a cutting-edge AI project. The SME will be responsible for segmenting and annotating musculoskeletal muscles and structures into defined groups and categories, contributing directly to the development of advanced AI models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define process and best practices for muscle segmentation.
- Segment and annotate musculoskeletal muscles using provided tools and guidelines.
- Define segmentation standards, metrics and handling times for images.
- Provide input on tooling and supporting tooling usage for other annotators.
- Lead Quality Assurance for the project. Define and run quality assurance processes.
- Ensure high-quality, accurate labeling based on MSK knowledge across all images. Arbitrate submissions by other experts.
- Collaborate with the AI team to provide input on data quality and interpretation.
- Support recruitment of other experts to support the project.
- Must be a radiologist, sonographer, or clinical anatomist with hands-on experience in ultrasound-based muscle segmentation for ground-truth data labelling.
- Strong understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy
- Interest in supporting innovative, real-world AI applications
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow structured protocols
- Strong written English to create guidelines, documentation and provide reports on segmentation activities.
