The Identity Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our identity and access management (IAM) systems and solutions, with a focus on Active Directory, Entra ID and Auth0. This includes managing user accounts, groups, and permissions; configuring security policies; and troubleshooting issues. The ideal candidate will have experience with Active Directory, Entra ID and Auth0, as well as a strong understanding of security principles and best practices, including RBAC, Entra Connect, PKI, and Azure conditional access.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain our Active Directory, Entra ID and IAM environments.
- Design and implement automation solutions for AD and IAM tasks.
- Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and policies.
- Configure security policies.
- Troubleshoot Active Directory, Entra ID and IAM issues.
- Work with other IT teams to ensure that our systems are secure and compliant.
- Design and implement RBAC policies.
- Monitor and audit RBAC activities.
- Design, implement, and maintain Entra Connect.
- Design, implement and manage PKI infrastructure.
- Design and implement Azure conditional access policies.
- Monitor and audit Azure conditional access activities.
- Stay up to date on the latest Active Directory, Entra ID and IAM technologies.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Active Directory administration, including user account management, group management, and permissions delegation.
- Experience with Entra ID administration, including user provisioning, group management, and security policies.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and other scripting languages.
- Experience with security principles and best practices, including RBAC, Entra Connect, PKI, Azure conditional access, and automation.
- Identity Engineering experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with an inquisitive approach to work.
- An aptitude to tackle and own a challenge through to its conclusion.
- Thinking outside the box, open mind to new tools and changing processes.
