We’re seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure using Azure and M365 services. Your expertise will drive innovation, scalability, and reliability for our organization’s cloud solutions. The Cloud Platform Engineer is responsible for the design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure and identity and access management (IAM) systems. This role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to design scalable cloud solutions, optimize performance, and ensure security and compliance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), Kubernetes, VMware, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Auth0, with a strong understanding of security principles, IAM policies, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure Design and Deployment: Collaborate with architects and development teams to design and implement scalable cloud solutions using Azure, AWS, or GCP. Deploy, configure, and manage cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage, networking, Serverless/Logic Apps, and Log Analytics Workspaces. Deploy and manage cloud Kubernetes clusters for containerized workloads. Oversee VMware environments, ensuring seamless integration with cloud infrastructure.
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Design, implement, and maintain Active Directory, Entra ID, and IAM environments. Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and policies across cloud and on‑prem environments. Design and implement automation solutions for IAM tasks, including RBAC and security policy configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve identity‑related issues in Active Directory, Entra ID, and IAM systems. Design and implement security policies such as Azure Conditional Access, RBAC, and PKI infrastructure. Monitor and audit IAM activities, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, network security groups, and multi‑factor authentication (MFA). Monitor compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, SOC, NIST) and regulatory requirements. Design and implement Azure security policies, including encryption and network security configurations. Stay up to date on security technologies, ensuring the security of cloud resources and IAM systems.
  • Optimization and Troubleshooting: Continuously evaluate and optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost‑effectiveness. Implement automation for resource provisioning and scaling using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC). Diagnose and resolve cloud infrastructure and identity‑related issues promptly. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and IAM problems.
  • Continuous Learning and Innovation: Keep up to date with the latest technologies and best practices in cloud services and identity management. Evaluate and recommend new tools, methodologies, and services to enhance cloud and IAM efficiency.

Skills & Experience

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), including virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity services (e.g., Azure Active Directory, Entra ID, Auth0). Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates. Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud‑native applications. Experience managing and optimizing VMware and cloud‑based infrastructure. Strong knowledge of security controls, policies, and compliance frameworks for cloud and identity management (e.g., RBAC, MFA, Azure Conditional Access). Familiarity with Active Directory, Entra ID, and IAM technologies, including user account management, group management, and security policy configuration.
  • Automation and Scripting: Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or other automation tools for cloud and IAM management. Expertise in automating cloud resource provisioning, scaling, and identity management tasks.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues in simple terms. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Strong analytical abilities and an inquisitive approach to work. A self‑starter with the ability to learn and adapt quickly, innovate, and think outside the box.

Experience: Proven experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, and cloud‑based identity services (e.g., Auth0, Azure AD). Hands‑on experience with security best practices, including RBAC, PKI, conditional access policies, and IAM automation. Experience with cloud migration and management, including hybrid cloud environments.
