We are seeking an experienced Full Stack TypeScript Developer to join our team and help build innovative, cross-platform applications using a unified architecture. You'll work across the stack - developing responsive frontends in React, building robust RESTful/GraphQL APIs with Node.js and Fastify, and creating desktop/mobile apps using Electron and React Native. Our unified approach ensures code reusability and consistency across all platforms. Familiarity with XSL for data transformation is a plus.
We're especially keen to hear from candidates who have real-world experience with vibe coding - using AI tools like Claude, Cursor, or CoPilot to build production-grade software faster and smarter. This is a remote job with regular travel to Bristol.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable applications using our unified TypeScript architecture across React, Node.js (Fastify), Electron, and React Native.
- Build and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs and integrate them across web, desktop, and mobile platforms.
- Apply vibe coding techniques to prototype, iterate, and deliver features efficiently.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested TypeScript code that leverages our shared codebase approach.
- Work with XML and XSL for data transformation and presentation.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and asynchronous programming.
- Production experience with React and Node.js.
- Experience with Fastify or similar Node.js frameworks.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Experience building desktop apps with Electron.
- Experience developing mobile apps with React Native.
- Familiarity with XSL and XML data structures.
- Demonstrable experience using AI tools to accelerate the development process.
- Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
- Experience in architecting/developing unified codebases for cross-platform development.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of secure coding and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with technical publication standards (e.g., S1000D).
