Stage Manager – LEGOLAND® Windsor

Type of Employment: Seasonal Location: LEGOLAND® Windsor Dates: Rehearsal Nov 17‑21; Performance Nov 21‑22, 29‑30; Dec 6‑7, 13‑23; Dec 27 – Jan 3. Salary: £130/day
Key Responsibilities
- Show Calling & Technical Support – call all live stunt shows, coordinating cues for audio, action, and special effects.
- Assist with sound and stage combat, acro (including trampette use).
- Maintain situational awareness during live performance, including dynamic elements like water stunts and guest proximity.
- Backstage & Performer Support – assist cast with quick changes for costumed character performers in mascot‑style suits; provide general backstage support to ensure safe and efficient transitions and readiness.
- Company & Cast Management – act as on‑site Company Manager, supporting cast wellbeing, managing breaks, scheduling covers, and maintaining team morale; conduct daily check‑ins with performers and report any incidents, injuries, or concerns.
- Client Liaison & Reporting – serve as the primary RWS representative on‑site, communicating with LEGOLAND\’s Entertainment team and submitting Daily Operational Reports (DORs) covering performance notes, attendance, technical issues, and guest feedback.
- Health & Safety – ensure all safety protocols are followed during performances; participate in and enforce daily pre‑show checks and risk assessments; liaise with park teams to test water chemical levels, wind speeds, stage maintenance.
Requirements
- Must be able to swim.
- Proven experience stage managing live performance, ideally in a theme park, outdoor, or stunt‑based setting.
- Comfortable operating special effects, including pyrotechnics or flame effects (training will be provided).
- Excellent communicator, calm under pressure, and highly organized.
- Experience working with costumed characters and managing quick changes preferred.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- First Aid certification required; knowledge of show health and safety practices is a plus.
