We are seeking Costume Characters at LEGOLAND® New York for the Daily Park Opening Show, Character Meet & Greets, and Hotel Events. This role may perform in both the theme park and hotel locations. We are looking for high-energy performers to bring these Costume Characters to life!
Costumed Character Performers must be willing to perform as a costumed character and serve as a character sidekick when needed. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting during character meet-and-greets
- Being the voice for the character
- Engaging with guests to create a welcoming and interactive experience
Performers will be working in various indoor and outdoor climates and must be comfortable wearing a full character costume for up to 30 minutes at a time. This role requires individuals who are comfortable performing in enclosed character costumes.
In the hotel setting, performers will support family-focused programming such as character meet-and-greets, hosting games for families, leading dance parties, and reading from a book during scheduled Storytime experiences. Performers should be comfortable speaking with guests, facilitating activities, and maintaining high energy while interacting with children and families.
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Dates: now - November 22, 2026
Hours: approximately 8 hours per shift between 9:00am and 9:00pm
What is required?
- Must be between 5'2" and 5'4"
- This is a full body costume like a mascot with head fully covered
- Must be local to Goshen, New York or surrounding area
- Must have weekend availability
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States
- All gender identities are welcome
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- This is a non-union job
