RWK Goodman are seeking Senior Business Analysts to join our newly formed Business Transformation team in Bristol.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead analysis across complex strategic transformation initiatives, partnering with senior stakeholders and delivery teams to define business needs, shape evidence-based solutions and translate objectives into clear requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex analysis across strategic, cross-functional transformation initiatives, identifying root causes, challenges and opportunities.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to clarify business needs, challenge assumptions and translate strategy into clear outcomes and priorities.
- Analyse and redesign end-to-end processes, identifying opportunities for simplification, standardisation, automation and continuous improvement.
- Shape solutions with business leaders, IT and suppliers, ensuring technology and process changes address business needs and deliver measurable value.
- Lead initiatives from discovery and design through implementation, adoption and benefits realisation.
- Apply Agile and Scrum practices where appropriate, keeping requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and priorities aligned to agreed outcomes.
- Provide analytical oversight throughout delivery, ensuring solutions are tested and achieve the outcomes set out in the business case.
- Build trusted relationships with Partners, senior leaders, lawyers and professional teams, acting as a credible transformation adviser.
- Lead workshops and complex stakeholder discussions to create clarity, resolve competing priorities and enable effective decisions.
- Constructively challenge senior stakeholders to keep transformation focused on strategic priorities, business needs and measurable value.
- Develop evidence-based recommendations and business cases covering investment, expected benefits, risks and return on investment.
- Define financial and non-financial success measures, and own the forecasting, tracking and reporting of benefits against the original investment case.
- Identify opportunities to use automation, legal technology, AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, colleague experience and client outcomes.
- Establish consistent Business Analysis standards, frameworks, tools and ways of working across the Transformation function.
- Lead, coach and quality-assure Business Analysts and transformation colleagues, building capability and promoting best practice.
- Maintain an external perspective on legal technology, AI, process improvement and professional services transformation, translating relevant developments into opportunities for the firm.
- Expert Business Analysis capability across transformation, project and product lifecycles, providing subject-matter expertise, coaching and mentoring.
- Experience leading analysis across complex, strategic transformation programmes spanning business areas, locations and disciplines, including digital, data, AI, automation and technology change.
- Confidently engages Partners and senior leaders, quickly building credibility, challenging thinking and influencing decisions amid unclear requirements or priorities.
- Strong commercial and strategic awareness, connecting analysis to strategy, value and measurable outcomes to support evidence-based investment decisions.
- Conducts deep business and operational analysis to identify root causes, challenge assumptions and improve processes, operating models and services.
- Strong technical and data literacy, enabling effective engagement with technology teams and translation between business needs and technical requirements.
- Extensive experience across Agile, Scrum, Waterfall and hybrid delivery, including discovery, backlog management, sprint activities and continuous improvement.
- Translates complex needs into outcomes, capabilities, epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria and requirements, maintaining end-to-end traceability.
- Accomplished facilitator of complex senior-stakeholder workshops, resolving conflict and ambiguity to secure decisions and outcomes.
- Strong analytical judgement and curiosity, turning complex qualitative, quantitative and technical information into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Commercially astute, evaluating cost, benefit, risk and return to build robust business cases and measure realised benefits.
- Operates autonomously in complex, ambiguous environments, judging when to challenge, recommend, decide, escalate or seek expertise.
- Excellent communication, adapting for technical specialists, Partners and executives and translating between business and technology.
- Champions Business Analysis, continually improving standards, tools, governance and ways of working across transformation.
