We are recruiting for two Facilities Supervisors, who will have responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of the local facilities teams, one to cover London, Oxford and Thame, and the other to cover Bath, Bristol and Swindon. As and when necessary, the duties include travel to the sites for which you are responsible. The role of Facilities Supervisor will be to assist the Facilities Manager with the day-to-day operational running of the sites and assist in the provision of an efficient, effective and economic Building and Facilities service across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Personalised Client Service
- Support the Facilities Managers in the operation and implementation of the life cycle maintenance provisions.
- Manage, liaise with and co-ordinate all contractors on site.
- Support the Facilities Manager in relation to energy management, carbon reduction, and environmental initiatives to comply with company policies and procedures, and external legislation.
- Manage procedures, SLA’s & delivery of all building/property services as directed, in addition to tenant issues and project works.
- Act as the point of contact for staff at base location(s).
- Sustainable Growth
- Maintain and continue to develop appropriate expertise and knowledge of current technologies, strategies and legislation to support the role and advise on future developments.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current Health and Safety procedures and legislation. If required be part of the Health and Safety Committee.
- Dynamic Culture
- Leadership of the local facilities teams on a day-to-day basis, always ensuring adequate staff resource and have the responsibility to ensure all on the ground operations are carried out to a high standard. Ensure that the teams responsibilities at each location are carried out promptly and without delay.
- Always act as an ambassador for the Facilities Department.
- As directed be fully prepared to work at, and cover for, colleagues at all the Firms locations.
- To act as the day-to-day responsible person for the operations of the facilities teams at each location.
- Act as a point of contact in the absence of the Facilities Managers for all location issues.
- Financial & Operational Excellence
- Operate and continuously improve upon facilities management strategy providing high quality, cost-effective services within agreed budgets.
- Approve all invoices in a timely manner and pass to Accounts for payment in accordance with agreed delegated authority limits.
Skills, Experience and Attributes:
- Experience within a similar role and/or environment.
- Knowledge of health, safety & welfare regulations is essential.
- Driving licence and the ability to travel to the different office locations.
