The Role: As the Events & Marketing Assistant, you will provide efficient and effective operational and administrative support to members of the Marketing Operations team within the wider Marketing & BD team. The role will focus predominately on events and admin in the marketing team but will also involve standalone projects as directed by Marketing Managers / MBD Director. Your role will enable the MBD team to function effectively and achieve its objectives and ensure that the work done by the team complies with internal quality standards and external requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the firm’s events programme, including responsibility for executing / facilitating BAU (Business as usual) events, face-to-face and digital, predominantly in the firm’s Bath and Bristol offices in accordance with the firm’s event processes.
  • Use the CRM system to produce lists for mailings and events; generate and monitor campaigns; carry out data entry and updates in conjunction with marketing campaigns; and prepare timely e-comms for divisions as needed on pertinent topics.
  • Assist with production of marketing collateral to agreed templates.
  • Working with the Senior Marketing Executive, administer the firm’s corporate hospitality programme.
  • Assist with the execution of the firm’s legal directory process.
  • Assist stock management of key positions and procurement of marketing collateral / merchandise where necessary.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Marketing Operations team and MBD Director in relation to the day-to-day marketing operations and campaigns.
  • Whilst the role is based in Bath and will focus on Bath and Bristol offices accordingly, it will also occasionally require work outside of designated office and outside of normal office hours (e.g. for events management).

  • Make effective use of the relevant firm IT systems, working efficiently and streamlining processes where possible.
  • Input into procedural changes, making suggestions for improvement and efficiencies. Take ownership of small projects where appropriate.

Skills, Experience, and Attributes:

  • Previous experience within an events/admin role (essential).
  • Understanding of CRM, event planning and administration (desirable).
  • Excellent organisation capability with the ability to effectively prioritise (essential).
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office suite and other relevant IT platforms (essential).
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal (essential).
  • Positive attitude to work - approaches work with positivity and energy and thrives in a busy environment.
  • Effective communicator and service focussed - clearly conveys information and ideas through the relevant channels.
  • Ability to show initiative, sense checks tasks and goes the extra step where required.
