Physical Therapist Req #: 0000191309 Category: Physical Therapy Status: Per Diem Shift: Day Facility: Childrens Specialized Hosp Department: Physical Therapy-OP Location: Bayonne Outpatient (BAY2), 519 Broadway, Bayonne, NJ 07002 Position Overview Focused on supporting and improving a child\’s ability to participate fully and successfully in their school environment using physical therapy methods and methodologies. This position is based in Union County. Qualifications Required: Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program NJ Consumer Affairs Physical Therapy License School Certification in NJ Preferred: Doctorate degree Pediatric affiliation Certifications and Licenses NJ Consumer Affairs Physical Therapy License School Certification in NJ Essential Functions Adhere to the principles of the Professional Code of Ethics and NJ Division of Consumer Affairs regulations for licensed Physical Therapists Be available during regular school hours at the assigned site and for required meetings within scheduled work hours Utilize educational service models in developing and maintaining student therapy programs Communicate effectively with educational staff, parents, students, and other stakeholders Participate in IEP and other school meetings as appropriate, via in-person, phone, or virtual platforms Collaborate with educational teams to develop individualized student plans Provide training and supervision to school personnel on therapeutic techniques Conduct assessments, reassessments, and evaluations in accordance with policies and timelines Develop and implement goal-oriented, educationally relevant therapeutic interventions Complete documentation, scheduling, and billing in line with department policies Maintain therapy equipment and inventory Complete mandatory education requirements timely Maintain professional skills and competencies Possibly participate in training and supervising clinical students Meet productivity expectations Support the goals of Children’s Specialized Hospital’s School Services, aligning with organizational policies Other Duties This description is not exhaustive; duties may change at any time.
