The Paramedic will provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) services to patients.

Opportunities for Full-time Retention Agreement - paid at 1 year, 3 years, and 5 years. Free CEUs and courses for recertification. Part-Time (24 h/wk) positions available with full benefits. World-class work experience for all employees.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Current Driver's License satisfying vehicle insurance requirements
  • NJ Paramedic Certification or National Registry Paramedic Certification (eligible for reciprocity)
  • American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider (CPR)
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • Hazmat Awareness Certification
  • ICS 100, 200, and NIMS 700, 800
  • Completed Weapons of Mass Destruction or CBRNE Awareness training

Preferred:

  • PHTLS/ITLS
  • Associate Degree

Certifications and Licenses Required:

Same as above required certifications.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Per Diem: Must provide 10 shifts of availability, work 6 over 3 months, and cover summer and winter holidays along with 2 weekend shifts. Shifts must be within the hired region.
  • Part Time: Two scheduled shifts per week, totaling 4 over 2 weeks, with at least 2 on weekends. Must work 24 hours per week.
  • Full Time: Three shifts per week, including weekends, on a rotating schedule. Must work 36 hours per week.

Essential Functions:

  • Professional, dignified, and compassionate conduct at all times.
  • Effective communication in English, both written and verbal.
  • Notify supervisor of maintenance, equipment, or supply issues and any unusual circumstances.
  • Provide treatment according to patient care protocols.
  • Operate department vehicles per NJ laws and policies.
  • Complete ongoing training and documentation requirements.
  • Interact professionally with all stakeholders.
  • Perform routine safety and compliance duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
