Job Overview

The Nursing Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care to non-acutely ill patients. Responsibilities include maintaining patient care areas and equipment, and performing patient watches. Note: Phlebotomy and EKG skills are not required.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma
• BLS Certification through American Heart Association
• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Preferred:

• At least one year of experience as a Nursing Assistant

Certifications and Licenses

• BLS certification through American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements

• Evening shift: 3:00PM – 11:30PM
• Schedule varies based on department needs
• Per-Diem
• Mandatory Orientation

Essential Functions

• Respond promptly and courteously to call lights and assist patients
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient care areas and equipment
• Assist with ambulation, weighing patients, applying supportive devices, and transporting to departments
• Contribute to patient satisfaction through regular rounding and service recovery
• Support colleagues and demonstrate self-care principles
