The Buyer procures items and services on behalf of the organization, ensuring compliance with purchasing policies. Responsibilities include obtaining quotes, sourcing, negotiating, achieving cost savings, and interfacing with vendors and end-users. The Buyer balances workload independently, adheres to deadlines, and maintains accuracy. The role also involves providing team coverage, handling special projects, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Required:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, reconcile figures, and communicate effectively
- Associates degree
- Experience in hospital purchasing, with PeopleSoft a plus

- Complete PO confirmations and ensure data accuracy for smooth payment processing
- Resolve match exceptions promptly and identify root causes to prevent recurrence
