Responsibilities include obtaining quotes, sourcing, negotiating, achieving cost savings, and interfacing with vendors and end-users. The Buyer balances workload independently, adheres to deadlines, and maintains accuracy. The role also involves providing team coverage, handling special projects, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required: High School Diploma or GED Two years of purchasing experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, reconcile figures, and communicate effectively Preferred: Associates degree Experience in hospital purchasing, with PeopleSoft a plus Scheduling Requirements: Per Diem Day Essential Functions: Review and process requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with policies Complete PO confirmations and ensure data accuracy for smooth payment processing Resolve match exceptions promptly and identify root causes to prevent recurrence Manage workload efficiently, informing management of delays or issues Provide team coverage and support special projects Maintain workload within departmental standards Communicate clearly through updates and emails Build rapport through effective communication and follow-up with stakeholders Other Duties: This job description is not exhaustive; duties may change at any time without notice.
