About the role
Ready to energise the UK & Ireland’s commercial landscape? Join RWE Supply & Trading as our Senior Business Relationship Manager and make your mark at the forefront of renewable energy trading. You’ll be the key connector between RWE and the energy market (Corporates, Developers, Suppliers, IPPs), leveraging your network and building long-term relationships with potential customers who have a need for Electricity Risk Management. Your role is about managing customers — it’s about being actively present, championing RWE across conferences, panels and industry events, and maintaining and building up essential connections that support the growth of our customer business.
- Grow and nurture RWE’s commercial client base for Commodity Risk Management (eg PPAs, Hedging, certificates).
- Build and deepen trusted relationships and proactively engage with all companies actively seeking to buy power through PPAs, always raising RWE’s profile.
- Represent RWE at major industry forums, conferences, and panels, building trust and visibility.
- Listen closely to customer needs, translating market insights to enable the origination team innovate tailored energy solutions.
- Work at the heart of our Commodity Solutions team to develop and refine RWE’s product offering in line with business development and origination.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of unique commercial opportunities through effective networking and collaboration with origination teams.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, supporting deal lifecycles.
Job requirements and experience
- Substantial track record in a commercial, customer-facing role within the commodity or renewable energy sector in the UK.
- An established network across leading energy buyers and renewables stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, long-term business relationships and manage multi-layered client interactions.
- Curiosity for market trends and the skill to uncover and respond to evolving customer needs.
- Highly credible communicator, able to bring people together and raise RWE’s profile across the sector, from informal socialising to structured presentations.
- Proven collaborative mindset, a team player who thrives in a diverse and inclusive working environment helping to shape solutions and deliver targets.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Advantageous, but not essential
- Active participation in conferences or industry events, including speaking or panel roles.
- Experience in renewable energy business development or PPA origination.
- Familiarity with CRM or relationship management tools.
