Overview

As Quality Manager, you define and drive the project's quality strategy using a risk-based approach to ensure robust quality planning, assurance and control. You lead the project quality team and oversee supplier performance to sustain the overall quality of deliverables. You’ll champion continuous improvement across projects and advance digital quality management tools, enabling strong cross-functional collaboration. This role shapes quality outcomes in a high-stakes offshore wind context and offers meaningful impact on project performance and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the project quality strategy aligned with quality standards and risk-based methods
  • Lead and support the project quality team (Quality Engineers, Site Managers, Inspectors)
  • Oversee supplier quality, qualification and audits, including root cause analyses and corrective actions
  • Prepare quality-related tender documents and evaluate supplier offers for contract negotiations
  • Monitor budgets and resources for quality activities and ensure optimal allocation
  • Develop audit guidelines, monitor overall quality, and drive continuous improvement of the quality framework
  • Promote risk-based quality assurance and supplier performance across projects and stakeholders
  • Drive adoption of digital quality management tools and analyze lessons learned to improve ways of working

Key requirements

  • University degree in engineering (mechanical, civil, electrical, or comparable field)
  • Additional qualification as quality auditor/manager or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance/control/management in construction or manufacturing
  • Knowledge of offshore wind components and inspection requirements
  • Knowledge of IEC 61400, BSH, DNV and EN 1090 or equivalent standards
  • Ability to lead diverse, cross-country teams with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient IT skills; able to drive topics forward in a dynamic project environment
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; willingness to travel internationally
