About The Role

This role is located within the Back Office and Accounting IT team, an integral part of our RWE Supply & Trading IT function providing IT services and products to all RWE Supply & Trading business functions. We work at the intersection of technology and business, collaborating with teams across the Back Office, Front Office, CAO, and IT. Our mission? To ensure every trade is captured flawlessly, reconciled correctly, and settled seamlessly. As part of a dynamic team distributed across the UK and Germany you will gain real, practical experience from an early stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborating with our internal IT teams and business stakeholders to understand and document their business needs and requirements.
  • Process Analysis: Examine current business and IT processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
  • Solution Design: Based on requirements, working to develop and propose solutions to address business challenges and improve processes.
  • Documentation: Create detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and proposed solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and they are kept informed of progress.
  • Agile IT Team Support: Become part of our Agile IT Team delivering IT products to business stakeholders and assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of tasks.
  • Testing and Validation: Ensure that proposed solutions meet business requirements through testing and validation.

Job Requirements And Experience

  • Enthusiasm and drive to complete your apprenticeship programme and seek out development opportunities within a supportive team.
  • A curious, analytical, and problem‑solving mindset with good attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to ensure effective dialogue with business stakeholders, suppliers, and partners.
  • The ability to work both as an individual, as well as with others.
  • The ability to balance work, study, and other life commitments (you will be provided with the appropriate support and study time to achieve this).
  • Willingness for occasional travel, as required, to support the role.

Entry Requirements

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject, including maths and English.
  • Level 3 qualification + 12 months work experience.
  • OR Business or business‑related degree (Finance, Economics, Maths, etc.).
  • OR Non‑business degree + at least 6 months work experience.
