Responsibilities

  • Analyse and clearly explain trading desk strategies, risks, and P&L drivers
  • Ensure trading activities remain within agreed limits by monitoring, challenging, and escalating where needed
  • Produce clear, insightful reports for the Board and senior Management
  • Perform independent valuations and stress‑test new products and ideas
  • Monitor market developments and communicate key changes to decision‑makers
  • Contribute to business projects, process improvements, and ad‑hoc initiatives
  • Continuously develop your skills and bring fresh ideas and best practices to the team

Job Requirements And Experience

  • A relevant degree (e.g. science, mathematics, engineering, economics) or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform well under tight deadlines
  • An independent mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve existing processes
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence through clear analysis
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, and/or Tableau, with a willingness to learn more
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and experience engaging with stakeholders

Advantageous, But Not Essential

  • Experience in market risk, particularly in commodities or trading environments
  • Knowledge of RWEST products, risk frameworks, and trading operations
  • Experience with Endur and/or MicroStrategy
  • An understanding of trading desk strategies and products
