Overview

In this role you will trade financial grains, oilseeds and softs within RWE’s governance framework, analyzing global markets to spot opportunities and inform strategies. You’ll work with physical grains traders to align financial and physical activities, and you’ll help grow RWE’s agricultural commodities portfolio. The position offers collaboration with cross-functional teams and opportunities to contribute to AI-enabled workflow improvements. Responsibilities

  • Trade financial grains, oilseeds and softs within governance framework
  • Analyse global agricultural markets to identify opportunities and inform strategies
  • Collaborate with physical grains traders to manage hedging and align financial/physical activities
  • Identify and execute structured trading opportunities for institutional clients
  • Contribute to development of the physical grains business and strengthen market relationships
  • Build network across grains and softs markets for intelligence and deal flow
  • Support AI-enabled workflow improvements

Key requirements

  • Three to five years’ experience in financial or proprietary agricultural commodities trading, ideally grains and softs
  • Demonstrable trading track record with P&L and market risk management
  • Strong understanding of agricultural commodity markets, trading strategies and structured products
  • Confident use of approved AI tools with sound judgement over outputs
  • Ability to make well-informed decisions in fast-moving markets and communicate clearly
  • High-integrity approach and willingness to challenge ideas constructively
