Investment & Valuation Manager
RWE Renewables Offshore Wind seeks an Investment & Valuation Manager to join the Projects & Investments UK team. The role supports the Offshore Wind business in evaluating opportunities, valuing projects, and driving the investment approval process to provide clear risk and opportunity analyses to management.
Responsibilities
- Develop quantitative and qualitative analyses, including models and calculations, of prospective investment opportunities and communicate results.
- Support the investment approval process, managing stakeholder expectations, coordinating verbal and quantitative analysis, and ensuring high‑quality delivery of papers and presentations for Board consideration.
- Evaluate and challenge inputs to investment decisions, identifying key value drivers.
- Identify and implement process improvements and valuation model standardization across the department.
- Support financial due diligence and strategic initiatives, including quality control reviews.
- Serve in a governance role to challenge assumptions while maintaining a commercial mindset on investment, divestment, bidding, and partnering decisions.
- Mentor and support development of less experienced Investment & Valuation Managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Several years of finance experience, including financial modelling (DCF) and proficiency in Excel.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to deliver high‑quality work on deadline‑driven projects.
- Effective written and oral communication skills, ability to collaborate within an international team.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred but not required
- MBA or advanced degree focusing on statistics, data analytics, or related fields; or professional designations such as CFA, CPA, PMI.
- Knowledge of capital market theory and in‑depth familiarity with valuation topics, particularly DCF.
- Investment banking and/or renewable energy experience, including due diligence.
