RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. is looking for a Senior HSE Specialist to provide independent, expert and professional advice and guidance to the North Hoyle & Rhyl Flats team on all health, safety and environmental issues.
The role includes:
- Supporting the North Hoyle & Rhyl Flats Team in implementing high standards of proactive and continual improvement ‘We Care’ ethos, including initiatives in behavioural safety, wellbeing and sustainability.
- Liaising with internal and external departments to ensure contractors are suitably selected, engaged and monitored for health, safety and environmental performance.
- Producing, reviewing and updating health, safety and environment related documentation as required.
- Contributing towards and delivering on annual key performance indicators and goals for the North Hoyle & Rhyl Flats Team.
- Attending meetings, site visits and technology reviews with sub-contractors & clients in relation to offshore operations.
- Preparing and presenting monthly HSE reports to the project Senior Management Team and Project Board.
Job Requirements and Experience:
- NEBOSH Certificate.
- IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management.
- Audit qualification such as ISO 45001/14001 internal auditor.
- Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining a certifiable HSE Management System.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience as an HSE professional.
- Practical and forward-thinking approach to handling operational HSE challenges.
- Effective organisational skills and a systematic, practical approach.
- Able to work in a time-sensitive setting and be team-oriented.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Good health and general fitness to work in an offshore environment.
Advantageous, but not essential:
- Working towards a NEBOSH Diploma.
Hybrid Working Model:
We offer a hybrid working model, with a minimum requirement of three days per week on site. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
Security Vetting:
An offer of employment may require holding active or the ability to pass National Security vetting to SC level.
