In this role, you will take ownership within Market Risk, acting as a key partner to Trading while maintaining independent oversight. You will further build on your existing expertise by working across a range of commodity markets, such as Gas, Oil and LNG, gaining deeper exposure to how risk is measured, analysed and communicated in a fast‑moving trading environment. You will play a visible role in analysing, challenging and communicating risk to senior stakeholders.

  • Prepare and review daily and monthly P&L, position and market risk reports.
  • Analyse and clearly communicate risk exposures, P&L drivers and trading strategies to senior stakeholders, including the Board.
  • Partner closely with Trading to identify, quantify and challenge market risks within the agreed risk framework.

  • Drive improvements across processes and contribute to automation and analytics initiatives.

Job requirements and experience:

  • Ability to explain P&L drivers, positions and risk exposures in a clear and structured way to stakeholders.
  • Confidence in constructively challenging Trading while maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Structured, analytical mindset with a focus on ownership and continuous improvement.

Advantageous, but not essential:

  • Exposure to advanced analytics or AI use cases in a risk or trading environment.

Your benefits:

  • A collegiate, pragmatic and entrepreneurial culture with strong exposure to senior leadership and trading desks.
