Following recent developments in the offshore wind business at RWE, we have a requirement for a business-critical role working across the Offshore Fleet in the UK. The Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of Tier Renewables International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS) implementation. They will be required to deliver required governance standards, as defined by the Department for Transport (DfT) and/or Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA) for the ISPS Code across RWE's UK Offshore Wind fleet.
About the role:
- Carry out the role of Port Facility Security Officer, ensuring all aspects of the legislations contained within the ISPS code are met.
- Ensure the availability of security staff to conduct all security activities with regard to the ISPS code for all offshore vessel movements and facility security requirements.
- Act as the focal security point of contact for operational security related matters across all RWE UK offshore wind assets, both onshore & offshore.
- Design and develop bespoke facility and localised security policies and procedures in compliance with relevant national regulations and Offshore security framework policy and security procedures.
- Engage with relevant key stakeholders to project manage and progress security related projects, and maintain security measures, both physical and technical.
- The role holder shall ensure that security at all UK Offshore Wind sites comply with applicable laws, legislation, regulations, codes, policies as well as requirements from other stakeholders.
- Required to develop, maintain, and manage the relevant site security and Emergency, Evacuation & Relocation Plans (EERP), including Fire & Business continuity plans.
- Create and deliver Port Facility Security Plans.
- Act as the local focal point for local Law Enforcement/Security/Fire & Rescue Services attending relevant meetings and groups, forming professional contacts and relationships, as appropriate.
- Undertakes the role of an approved UK DfT PFSO where applicable.
Job requirements and experience:
- Significant practical experience in working within Physical Security, preferably with Service Police/Civilian Police/Civil Defence, or other relevant field.
- Experience in implementing security solutions within a UK context, across different classes of facility, and assets.
- Experience in executing the implementation of processes in a Global organisation.
- Understanding of National Security Vetting and Aftercare requirements.
- Good understanding of the requirements surrounding Government Protectively Marked Material.
- Collaborative and communicative with a history of consistently seeking a positive interaction with peers.
- Possess a full UK/EU driving licence.
- Can undertake unsociable hours as required by the business.
- Advantageous, but not essential:
- A relevant degree.
- Qualified and accredited PFSO by the UK DfT, or capable of completing accreditation.
- Experience with HSE related issues and their correlation with regards to Security Operations.
- Experience with development of Business Crisis Plans.
This role will require you to hold Security Check Clearance. We will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently have this in place. Due to the nature of the work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national.
