As an Operations Engineer you will provide specialised maintenance support to the wind farm operations, covering 100 wind turbines, foundations, array cables and a 24‑hr control facility. You will need to ensure all maintenance workflow processes operate as designed, using KPIs and metrics to monitor performance and optimise activities.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for managing the long‑term planning of all maintenance activities on site.
  • Manage and develop the condition‑based monitoring processes for the site.
  • Monitor the CMMS (SAP) and produce/report relevant KPIs to site management.
  • Optimise and refine the maintenance strategy following RCM principles.
  • Work closely with engineers and operations to optimise resource planning, plant downtime and maintain asset integrity through life.
  • Execute and day‑to‑day manage certain activities such as inspection campaigns.
  • Support failure investigations as required.
  • Fulfil the requirements of the WTSR and produce required documentation (SRIC, RAMS) for safe work systems.
  • Engage with the safety rules team to ensure timely training, documentation and compliance.
  • Mentor, specify training and coach operations personnel to administer the WTSR autonomously.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Maintenance specialist experienced in a power generation or heavy industry environment.
  • HNC with experience or an engineering degree.
  • Analytical problem‑solving approach.
  • Effective communication and ability to engage specialists on complex operations.
  • Process‑driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience managing budgets and contractors.
  • Ability to adjust to changing offshore schedules and stay offshore for short periods.
  • Comfortable inspecting components offshore, often at height or in restricted spaces.
  • Comfortable working in an office environment, analysing large quantities of engineering information.
