About the role
As Team Lead – Major WTG Component Campaigns, you will be accountable for the successful delivery and management of major component exchanges across our offshore wind fleet covering all WTG-related scopes. You are responsible for the technical leadership of the scope, including strategic planning, coordination, and execution. You will ensure the highest standards in safety and delivery performance, with a strong focus on on-time, high-quality, and cost-efficient campaign execution across the operational fleet.
You will lead a large, multidisciplinary technical team comprising both internal staff and external contractors. In this role, you will promote best practices, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and drive initiatives to maximise fleet availability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop and empower the Major WTG Component Campaigns team to ensure efficient and effective campaign and exchange execution
- Ensure outstanding HSE performance and compliance through proactive leadership, clear objectives, and accountability
- Take technical ownership of major component scopes across all platforms, ensuring execution to the highest industry and quality standards
- Lead the management, optimisation, and continuous development of tooling and exchange methodologies for the current and future portfolio
- Coordinate detailed planning and execution of major component replacements and corrective campaigns in collaboration with project and portfolio management functions
- Ensure appropriate resourcing and competency levels, and drive continuous professional development of onshore and offshore teams
- Define, implement, and continuously improve best practices aligned with fleet-wide operational goals, future demand scenarios, and site‑specific requirements
- Oversee budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and cost‑effective campaign delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies
- Drive continuous improvement across all major O&M campaign processes and proactively develop future campaign strategies to ensure operational readiness
- Actively contribute to the wider operational strategy, knowledge sharing, and fleet-wide performance enhancement initiatives
Job requirements and experience
- Extensive leadership experience in managing large‑scale O&M or construction campaigns within offshore wind, or significant experience in roles such as General Manager, Production Manager, Campaign Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Package Manager within offshore wind operations or construction
- In‑depth technical expertise in WTG technology and heavy lifting operations
- Proven track record of delivering operational excellence, high safety standards, and cost efficiency within complex, multidisciplinary environments
- University degree in business, renewable energy, engineering, project management, or a comparable qualification
- Strong expertise in planning, scheduling, executing, and closing large‑scale maintenance and corrective campaigns
- Solid understanding of offshore wind turbine technologies, logistics, and operations, combined with strong skills in resource planning, budgeting, and cost control
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including negotiation, coordination, and influencing across internal teams and external partners
- Proficiency in data‑driven decision‑making and performance analysis for campaign optimisation
- Fluency in English is mandatory
