RWE Supply & Trading GmbH – Full time, Permanent
About the role
The Accounting division of RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (RWEST) is responsible for the accounting of commodity trading activities across RWE’s global trading business, as well as for RWEST’s segment financial statements. Within this division, Settlement and Banking acts as a central service provider, processing and settling commodity‑related invoices on behalf of the RWE Group.
Responsibilities
- Post commodity‑related incoming invoices and netting statements accurately and on time
- Reconcile intercompany payments in close collaboration with accounting teams across the RWE Group
- Support the continuous improvement of IT systems and actively contribute to automating manual processes
- Contribute to internal and external month‑end reporting activities
- Act as a point of contact for external auditors and internal stakeholders
Job requirements and experience
- Good understanding of energy trading and commodity markets
- Relevant experience in accounting and/or back‑office functions
- Strong SAP knowledge, ideally in FI, SD and MM, as well as confident use of MS Office, particularly Excel and Access
- High level of commitment, initiative and motivation, combined with a collaborative mindset
- Precise and independent working style, with the ability to quickly grasp complex topics and stay well organised under time pressure
- Excellent written and spoken English; for Germany‑based roles, excellent written and spoken German is also required
Advantageous, but not essential
- Experience in developing or improving automated processes
